Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities, and this year I want to raise awareness for Small Business Saturday on Saturday, November 30, 2013 by encouraging everyone in this community to shop locally and help stimulate our economy.
For me, owning a small business is about building relationships and strengthening our community, and I am proud to employ members of our neighborhood. Even though I’ve worked for larger corporations for most of my adult life, owning a small business for the past ten years has enriched my life in many ways. I am fortunate to work with a tremendous staff of local women who strengthen this business from one year to the next. I am also grateful to be able to provide a service to the people of my local community. Because we are a small business, we work at building long term relationships with our clients; we get to know them — their professions, their interests, etc. Cincinnati is my home, it is where I have raised my three kids, and where my husband and I enjoy as many of the arts and activities we can. I am proud to be a small business owner in Cincinnati and hope you will join me in supporting all the small businesses in your community on Small Business Saturday.
